Learning with us is never one-size-fits-all. The Rocket Approach is human-centred, research-informed, and future-focused. We balance enquiry, deep play, agency, and freedom to explore with guidance to grow, creating the conditions for children to flourish.
At Rocket, we don't rush to answers; instead, we curate rich experiences that nurture body, mind, and heart, preparing children not only for their next schools but to step into the world with curiosity, confidence, care and a sense of responsibility for each other and the planet.
Our design-led approach is our signature curatorial pedagogy. Our classrooms are theatres of learning — curated spaces and materials where projects and learning threads grow from children’s wonderings and fascinations, creating cultures of visible thinking where both children and adults feel safe, trusted, and deeply engaged and intrinsically motivated.
Alongside our Emergent Curriculum, we follow the EYFS statutory framework, with teachers acting as curators and facilitators and using attunement and responsive assessment to sequence learning and tailor teaching so every journey is ambitious, intentional, and personalised.
This extends beyond the classroom: with full-time specialists in movement, music, dance, drama, sport and P.E., children build strong foundations for physical development, sensory integration, embodied learning, creative health and self-expression.
Outdoors, our Rocket Camp is rewilded each year with the children giving them a chance to slow down, notice, and connect with the natural world.
We have six pedagogical pillars and IDEAS cycle: Child Led Inquiry & Projects, Teacher-Guided & responsive Assessment, Deep Play & Flow & Embodied Learning, Ecological Citizenship & Circular Creativity, Curatorial Pedagogy & Experiential Design, and Professional Curiosity & Action Research. These guide joyful learning journeys that honour childhood while laying the foundations for a flourishing future.
